The Story Behind Own Your Path

My name is Andrea, and my story begins in Colombia—a place that taught me the value of hard work, family, and resilience. I trained as an Industrial Engineer, chasing the traditional definition of success: titles, promotions, and achievements. For years, I believed that success was a straight line, paved with perfection and constant progress.

But life has a way of teaching us that the path is rarely straight. Moving to the U.S. opened a new chapter filled with challenges, cultural shifts, and moments of doubt. It also gave me the opportunity to rediscover myself—not just as a professional, but as a woman seeking balance and meaning.

Along the way, I became a runner-in-progress, a yoga therapist by passion, and someone who values mindfulness as much as ambition. I learned that success isn’t about doing it all—it’s about doing what matters most to you. It’s about owning your path, even when it looks different from everyone else.

This blog is my way of sharing that journey. Here, you’ll find stories of wins and setbacks, lessons learned, and reflections on what it means to thrive in both career and life. My hope is that these words inspire you to embrace your own path—because success isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s personal. It’s yours.

Welcome to Own Your Path. Let’s redefine success together.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
